Plagiarism Policy

Plagiarism Policy

Papers submitted to IndoGenius Journal must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration for publication elsewhere. Any material reproduced verbatim from another source must be clearly distinguished from the original text through appropriate quotation marks, indentation, and accurate citation of the source.

Any text exceeding fair use standards or any graphic material reproduced from another source requires appropriate permission from the copyright holder and proper acknowledgment of the original publication.

All submitted manuscripts will be screened for textual similarity using iThenticate: Plagiarism Detection Software or Turnitin, or other equivalent plagiarism detection software before proceeding to peer review.

The maximum acceptable similarity index is 25%. Manuscripts with a similarity index exceeding 25% may be returned to authors for revision or rejected during the initial editorial screening. However, a similarity index of 25% or below does not automatically guarantee that a manuscript is free from plagiarism.

The editorial team will evaluate similarity reports by considering the nature, extent, and sources of overlapping text, including properly cited quotations, references, standard methodological terminology, and other legitimate similarities.

Plagiarism, including direct copying, inappropriate paraphrasing, and unattributed use of others' ideas or findings, is strictly prohibited. Confirmed cases of plagiarism may result in manuscript rejection, publication correction, or retraction in accordance with the journal's publication ethics policies.
