Abstract

Pendahuluan: Etnomedisin merupakan bidang ilmu yang mempelajari bagaimana masyarakat memahami dan mengelola masalah kesehatan dengan pengetahuan tradisional mereka. Salah satunya adalah masyarakat Desa Purbosono yang masih mempertahankan praktik pengobatan tradisional menggunakan daun sirih hijau (Piper betle L.). Daun sirih hijau telah lama dikenal dan digunakan sebagai tanaman obat.

Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui nilai parameter Use Value (UV), Fidelity Level (FL), dan Informant Consensus Factor (ICF). Serta bagaimana cara pengolahan daun sirih hijau pada masyarakat Desa Purbosono.

Metode: Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kuantitatif. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik snowball sampling. Data diperoleh melalui wawancara menggunakan kuesioner. Hasil disajikan dalam bentuk persentase sebelum dianalisis menggunakan tiga parameter utama.

Hasil: Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, sirih hijau dimanfaatkan masyarakat Desa Purbosono untuk mengobati 11 jenis penyakit. Nilai Parameter Use Value tertinggi sebesar 0,55 dan nilai Fidelity Level tertinggi sebesar 55% pada penyakit keputihan, hasil pada parameter UV dan FL termasuk kategori sedang. Pada parameter Informan Consensus Factor memiliki nilai paling kuat yaitu 1 pada penyakit mimisan dan bau mulut. Cara mengolah daun sirih hijau paling banyak dengan cara direbus.

Kesimpulan: Sirih hijau memiliki tingkat pemanfaatan yang cukup tinggi pada  masyarakat Desa Purbosono. Berpotensi dalam pengembangan obat tradisional yang didasarkan pada kearifan lokal, serta mendukung penerapan obat tradisional dalam layanan kesehatan masyarakat.
