One type of worm that plays a role in anemia is Ancylostoma duodenale, which lives in the small intestine and can cause chronic blood loss. This study aimed to identify Ancylostoma duodenale eggs in pregnant women with anemia at Kusuma Bangsa Health Center, Pekalongan City.

Method: This study used a descriptive design with a sample of 11 pregnant women with anemia at the Kusuma Bangsa Community Health Center, Pekalongan City. Ancylostoma duodenale eggs were examined using sedimentation method.

Result: The examination results showed that all samples were negative for Ancylostoma duodenale worm infection. Factors supporting the negative results were that most respondents had implemented good personal hygiene, such as the habit of washing hands with running water, using footwear when leaving the house, always cutting nails at least once a week, and washing raw vegetables before consumption, so as to prevent transmission of helminthiasis.

Conclusion: In conclusion, there was no Ancylostoma duodenale infection among pregnant women with anemia at Kusuma Bangsa Community Health Center, Pekalongan City.
Abdul Ghofur, Miladia Nisa Kamilya Copyright (c) 2025 Abdul Ghofur, Miladia Nisa Kamilya https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 https://genius.inspira.or.id/index.php/indogenius/article/view/586 Wed, 28 May 2025 00:00:00 +0700 Relationship Between Education Level and Elderly Compliance in Hypertension Treatment in The Work Area of Datah Kotou Community Health Center https://genius.inspira.or.id/index.php/indogenius/article/view/589
Background & Objective: Hypertension is a common health issue among the elderly, with prevalence increasing as age advances. According to data from the WHO, approximately 1.13 billion people worldwide suffer from hypertension, with the elderly being the most vulnerable group. Poor management of hypertension can lead to serious complications such as stroke, heart failure, and chronic kidney disease. Adherence to treatment is crucial to prevent these complications. However, many elderly individuals, especially those with low education levels, struggle to understand medical instructions and the importance of medication. This study aims to analyze the relationship between education level and adherence to hypertension treatment among the elderly in the working area of Puskesmas Datah Kotou, Puruk Cahu.

Methods: This research employs a quantitative design with a cross-sectional approach. The sample consists of 30 elderly individuals diagnosed with hypertension, and data were collected through a questionnaire measuring education level and adherence using the Morisky Medication Adherence Scale (MMAS-8).

Results: The results indicate that 83.3% of respondents have a low education level (elementary school), and 63.3% show low adherence to treatment. Statistical analysis reveals a significant relationship between education level and adherence, with a correlation coefficient of 0.691 and a p-value of 0.000.

Conclusion: This study concludes that education level significantly affects the adherence of the elderly to hypertension treatment, highlighting the need for more effective health education interventions.
Rina Triani, Rian Tasalim, Subhannur Rahman, Muhammad Wijaksono Copyright (c) 2025 Rina Triani, Rian Tasalim, Subhannur Rahman, Muhammad Wijaksono https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 https://genius.inspira.or.id/index.php/indogenius/article/view/589 Wed, 28 May 2025 00:00:00 +0700 Surgical Medical Nursing Care in Hypertensive Patients with the Application of Benson Relaxation Therapy to Lower Pain Levels in the Nerve Room Rsud Jendral Ahmad Yani Metro City https://genius.inspira.or.id/index.php/indogenius/article/view/500
Background & Objective: The purpose of this study was to determine surgical medical nursing care in hypertensive patients with the application of benson relaxation therapy to reduce the level of nyri in the Nerve Room of Rsud Jendral Ahmad Yani Metro City.

Method: The method in this scientific work with a descriptive approach to nursing care involving 2 decubitus patients, the instruments used are assessment sheets, head to toe¸ and pain measurement sheets, the application of acute pain treatment using benson relaxation therapy is carried out for 3 days, with the intensity of administration twice a day for 15 minutes.

Result: The results of this study found that the main problem that arose in the patient was acute pain, the intervention was arranged by performing benson relaxation therapy, the implementation was carried out for 3 days in the patient, the evaluation of acute pain nursing began to improve on day 3 where when assessing pain obtained a value of 4 and the last day became 2.
