Enhancing public knowledge and awareness is essential for early detection and effective prevention.</p> <p><strong>Objective:</strong> This study aimed to develop an interactive educational application tailored to different age groups to improve public understanding and awareness of common NCDs, focusing on their signs, symptoms, and preventive strategies.</p> <p><strong>Methods:</strong> A Research and Development (R&amp;D) method was applied using the 4D model, consisting of four phases: Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate. The development process included a needs analysis, application content and interface design, software development, and dissemination planning. Input from health professionals and target users was integrated to ensure the application’s content accuracy and usability.</p> <p><strong>Results:</strong> The final application features a secure login system and age-specific interactive menus that display relevant NCD information, including warning signs, symptoms, and prevention tips. Black-box testing confirmed its functional reliability, while usability testing indicated high user satisfaction. The application positively influenced users' health knowledge, particularly in identifying early symptoms and understanding preventive measures for NCDs.</p> <p><strong>Conclusion:</strong> Age-specific digital education tools are effective in increasing public knowledge about NCDs and fostering preventive health behaviors. As hypertension remains a leading cause of outpatient visits at Kalirejo Health Center, Negeri Katon District, the effectiveness of elderly gymnastics as a preventive strategy warrants investigation.</p> <p><strong>Objective:</strong> This study aimed to examine the relationship between participation in elderly gymnastics and the incidence of hypertension among elderly individuals at the Kalirejo Health Center in 2024.</p> <p><strong>Method:</strong> This research used a quantitative approach with a descriptive correlational method and cross-sectional design. The sample consisted of 80 elderly respondents selected using the Slovin formula. study used an observation sheet as a data collection tool where the data collected was a recapitulation of the attendance list of elderly gymnastics participants and the Community Health Center medical records (patient visit records).Data were analyzed using a chi-square statistical test.</p> <p><strong>Result:</strong> Findings showed that most respondents who actively participated in elderly gymnastics did not have hypertension. Statistical analysis yielded a p-value of 0.020, indicating a significant relationship between the level of participation and the incidence of hypertension.</p> <p><strong>Conclusion:</strong> There is a significant relationship between elderly gymnastics participation and the incidence of hypertension. Active involvement in regular physical activity such as elderly gymnastics may help reduce hypertension risk. This study aims to systematically evaluate the impact of forest bathing on adolescent mental health by analyzing the available scientific evidence.</p> <p><strong>Objective</strong>: This study aims to systematically analyze the impact of forest bathing (shinrin-yoku) on adolescent mental health.</p> <p><strong>Method</strong>: A systematic search was conducted in the PubMed, ProQuest, JSTOR, and Garuda databases from 2017 to 2024, focusing on adolescent populations experiencing mental health disorders such as anxiety, depression, and low self-esteem, without restrictions on gender, religion, or race.</p> <p><strong>Result</strong>: Seven studies involving a total of 245 participants were analyzed. Forest bathing (Shinrin-yoku) consistently demonstrated significant benefits in reducing symptoms of depression and anxiety while enhancing overall mental well-being. The intervention cycles ranged from one day to five months, with session durations varying between 40 minutes and four hours. Excessive screen exposure is suspected to contribute to psychosocial issues in school-aged children.</p> <p><strong>Objective:</strong> This study aims to analyze the relationship between screen time and emotional and behavioral problems in school-age children.</p> <p><strong>Method:</strong> A cross-sectional quantitative design was employed. A total of 92 parents of students at a private elementary school in Tahuna, North Sulawesi, were selected using proportionate stratified random sampling. Data were collected using a validated screen time questionnaire and the Pediatric Symptom Checklist-17 (PSC-17). Statistical analysis was performed to assess the relationship between screen time and emotional and behavioral problems.</p> <p><strong>Result:</strong> Findings showed that 83.7% of children had screen time exceeding WHO recommendations, and 84.8% exhibited signs of emotional and behavioral problems. A statistically significant relationship was found between excessive screen time and emotional and behavioral issues (p &lt; 0.05).</p> <p><strong>Conclusion:</strong> Excessive screen time is significantly associated with an increase in emotional and behavioral problems among school-aged children. These demands, coupled with a lack of preparedness to cope, can lead to psychological issues such as stress. Globally, stress affects more than 350 million people and ranks as the fourth most common health problem.</p> <p><strong>Objective:</strong> This study aimed to determine the relationship between spirituality levels and stress among freshmen in the Health Sciences Program at Universitas Muhammadiyah Kalimantan Timur.</p> <p><strong>Methods:</strong> This research employed a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design. A total of 271 respondents were selected using random sampling. The instruments used were the Daily Spiritual Experience Scale (DSES) to measure spirituality and the Depression Anxiety and Stress Scale (DASS-21) to measure stress levels. Data were analyzed using the Spearman rank correlation test.</p> <p><strong>Results:</strong> The majority of respondents had a high level of spirituality (160 respondents or 59%), while most respondents also reported normal levels of stress (159 respondents or 58.7%). Statistical analysis revealed a negative correlation between spirituality and stress levels, with a correlation coefficient of -0.417 and a p-value of 0.000, indicating a significant inverse relationship.</p> <p><strong>Conclusion:</strong> The findings indicate that higher levels of spirituality are associated with lower levels of stress among new health students. While programs like Prolanis offer basic support, specific interventions to improve vascular health and prevent complications are still limited.</p> <p><strong>Objective:</strong> This study aimed to assess the effect of resistance exercise on blood sugar levels, foot sensitivity, and ankle-brachial index (ABI) values in patients with T2DM at Kedaton Health Center, Bandar Lampung.</p> <p><strong>Method:</strong> A quantitative quasi-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest model was used. Thirty-two individuals with T2DM were selected through purposive sampling. Participants underwent resistance exercise interventions involving repetitive limb movements. Blood sugar levels and ABI values were measured before and after the intervention.</p> <p><strong>Results:</strong> The results demonstrated a significant decrease in blood sugar levels and a notable improvement in ABI values after the intervention, with both outcomes showing a p-value of 0.000. These findings indicate that resistance exercise can enhance glycemic control and peripheral vascular function.</p> <p><strong>Conclusion: </strong>Resistance exercise significantly reduces blood sugar levels and improves ABI values in individuals with T2DM. This form of physical activity offers a promising non-pharmacological approach to managing diabetes and preventing complications. It is recommended that resistance exercise be integrated into routine diabetes care programs. While pharmacological treatments are widely used, they may lead to drug-related problems, making non-pharmacological alternatives, such as Slow Stroke Back Massage (SSBM), increasingly relevant.</p> <p><strong>Objective: </strong>This study aimed to determine the effect of Slow Stroke Back Massage therapy on reducing blood pressure in hypertensive patients.</p> <p><strong>Method: </strong>A quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental, one-group pretest-posttest design was employed. The study was conducted at Dr. A. Dadi Tjokrodipo Hospital in Bandar Lampung from December 2024 to February 2025. A total of 21 hypertensive patients participated in the intervention, receiving SSBM therapy. Blood pressure measurements were taken before and after the intervention, and statistical analyses were performed to assess significance.</p> <p><strong>Result: </strong>The mean systolic blood pressure decreased from 146.71 mmHg to 132.14 mmHg, and diastolic pressure also showed a reduction. The intervention resulted in statistically significant changes, with p-values of 0.000 for systolic and 0.003 for diastolic pressure, indicating the effectiveness of SSBM therapy.</p> <p><strong>Conclusion: </strong>SSBM therapy significantly reduces both systolic and diastolic blood pressure in hypertensive patients. This intervention enhances relaxation, promotes vasodilation, and reduces sympathetic nervous activity. These shift patterns, particularly night shifts, can lead to fatigue, which negatively impacts nurses’ health, performance, and patient safety.</p> <p><strong>Objective:</strong> This study aimed to analyze the relationship between work shifts and nurse fatigue in the inpatient department of Dr. A. Dadi Tjokrodipo Hospital in 2024.</p> <p><strong>Method:</strong> A quantitative analytical survey with a cross-sectional design was conducted. The study population included all inpatient nurses, with a total of 57 respondents selected using total sampling. Data were collected using validated questionnaires and analyzed using Chi-Square tests to determine associations.</p> <p><strong>Result:</strong> The findings revealed that nurses working under shift schedules were more likely to experience fatigue compared to those on regular schedules. The statistical analysis demonstrated a significant association between shift work and nurse fatigue (p &lt; 0.05).</p> <p><strong>Conclusion:</strong> Shift work is significantly associated with increased nurse fatigue. Cadres are key actors in delivering these services, and their performance is influenced by multiple factors.</p> <p><strong>Objective:</strong> This study aimed to identify the factors influencing cadre performance in implementing the Elderly Posyandu at Way Krui Health Center, Pesisir Barat Regency, in 2024.</p> <p><strong>Method:</strong> A quantitative cross-sectional study was conducted in February 2025. The population consisted of 118 cadres in the Way Krui Health Center area. A total of 92 respondents were selected using the Slovin formula. Data were collected through structured questionnaires and analyzed statistically using computer software.</p> <p><strong>Result:</strong> The findings revealed significant relationships between cadre performance and individual factors (ρ = 0.007), organizational factors (ρ = 0.018), psychological factors (ρ = 0.014), and leadership factors (ρ = 0.013). Cadres influenced by these factors demonstrated better performance in delivering elderly health services.</p> <p><strong>Conclusion:</strong> Cadre performance in the Elderly Posyandu program is significantly affected by individual, organizational, psychological, and leadership factors. Additionally, the study analyzed the distribution of spirituality and depression levels and explored demographic characteristics that may influence this relationship.</p> <p><strong>Methods:</strong> A descriptive correlational study with a quantitative approach was conducted using stratified random sampling. The sample consisted of 271 freshmen, determined using the Slovin formula. Data collection instruments included the Daily Spiritual Experience Scale (DSES) to assess spirituality levels and the Depression Anxiety Stress Scale (DASS-21) to measure depression. The level of spirituality reflects the depth of a person's spiritual beliefs, practices, and experiences, which may be linked to coping mechanisms.</p> <p><strong>Objective:</strong> This study aims to determine the relationship between the level of spirituality and coping mechanisms among freshmens in the Health Study Program at Universitas Muhammadiyah Kalimantan Timur.</p> <p><strong>Methods:</strong> This research employed a quantitative method with a descriptive approach. The population consisted of freshmens enrolled in the Health Study Program. Data were collected using validated questionnaires and analyzed using the Spearman Rank correlation test.</p> <p><strong>Results:</strong> The majority of respondents were 18 years old (69.7%), female (81.2%), Muslim (98.9%), and from the Public Health undergraduate program (30.0%). Most respondents had a high level of spirituality (59.0%), while 41.0% had a moderate level. Regarding coping mechanisms, 57.9% used adaptive coping, while 42.1% employed maladaptive coping. The Spearman Rank test yielded a p-value of 0.000 (≤0.005), indicating a statistically significant relationship. The correlation coefficient was 0.238, demonstrating a weak but positive correlation between spirituality levels and coping mechanisms.</p> <p><strong>Conclusion:</strong> There is a significant positive relationship between the level of spirituality and coping mechanisms among freshmens in the Health Study Program, although the strength of the correlation is weak. A prevalent HRM issue in hospitals is nurse work fatigue, which negatively affects performance, patient safety, and service quality. Shift work, a core aspect of hospital operations, is a major contributor to fatigue due to its impact on physical and psychological well-being.</p> <p><strong>Objective: </strong>This study aimed to examine the relationship between work shift factors—specifically length of work shifts, shift changes, and shift rotations—and the level of work fatigue among nurses at Dr. H. Abdul Moeloek Regional Hospital in Bandar Lampung.</p> <p><strong>Method: </strong>A quantitative, cross-sectional study was conducted with a sample of 142 nurses selected using proportional stratified random sampling. Data were collected through structured questionnaires and analyzed using statistical tests to assess the significance of associations between work shift variables and nurse fatigue levels.</p> <p><strong>Result: </strong>The findings revealed significant associations between all three work shift variables and nurse fatigue. The length of work shifts (p = 0.039), shift changes (p = 0.028), and shift rotations (p = 0.049) were all significantly related to fatigue levels. Nurses with sufficient shift arrangements experienced lower fatigue than those with poor shift conditions.</p> <p><strong>Conclusion: </strong>Work shift management significantly influences nurse fatigue levels. Irregular rotations and extended work hours contribute to higher fatigue, potentially compromising nurse performance and patient care. Patient satisfaction serves as a key indicator of service quality and is influenced by several factors, including performance, facilities, and communication. However, dissatisfaction remains an issue in many healthcare settings.</p> <p><strong>Objective: </strong>This study aimed to identify the factors associated with patient satisfaction at the Tiuh Tohou Health Center, Tulang Bawang Regency in 2024.</p> <p><strong>Method: </strong>A quantitative analytical survey with a cross-sectional design was used. The population included all patients treated at the health center in 2024 (n=310), from which 175 were selected using purposive sampling. Data were analyzed using the chi-square test to determine relationships between variables.</p> <p><strong>Result: </strong>The results showed that performance, facilities, and communication were significantly associated with patient satisfaction. Poor performance increased dissatisfaction likelihood by 48 times (p=0.000; OR=48.417), poor facilities by 2.5 times (p=0.004; OR=2.577), and poor communication by 20 times (p=0.000; OR=20.063). Most patients were over 35 years old, male, had a high school education, were self-employed, and reported dissatisfaction with services received.</p> <p><strong>Conclusion: </strong>Patient dissatisfaction at the Tiuh Tohou Health Center is significantly influenced by poor staff performance, inadequate facilities, and ineffective communication. Inadequate nursing care has been associated with low satisfaction levels, impacting service utilization and hospital performance.</p> <p><strong>Objective:</strong> This study aimed to examine the relationship between nursing services and patient satisfaction among BPJS users in the polyclinic of Dr. A. Dadi Tjokrodipo Regional General Hospital, Bandar Lampung.</p> <p><strong>Method:</strong> A quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design was employed. The population included all BPJS patients in the polyclinic room in 2024. A purposive sampling technique was used to select 99 respondents who met the inclusion criteria. Data were collected using a validated structured questionnaire and analyzed using univariate and bivariate statistical methods, including the Chi-square test.</p> <p><strong>Result:</strong> The majority of respondents rated the nursing services as good and expressed satisfaction with the services received. Among those who perceived nursing services as good, most reported being satisfied. Conversely, patients who perceived the services as not good tended to be dissatisfied. A significant relationship was found between nursing services and patient satisfaction (p-value = 0.000).</p> <p><strong>Conclusion:</strong> There is a significant association between the quality of nursing services and the level of patient satisfaction among BPJS users. Improving nursing care is essential to enhance patient experiences and promote service utilization.
