Genius Midwifery Journal https://genius.inspira.or.id/index.php/genmj <p><strong>Genius Midwifery Journal</strong> is an electronic journal published by Inspirasi El Burhani Foundation, Ciamis, Jawa Barat, Indonesia. <strong>Genius Midwifery Journal</strong> is an open-access and scientific peer-reviewed journal published annually (February and August). The journal particularly welcomes studies that aim to understand the complex midwifery care interventions that employ the rigorous designs and methods appropriate for the research question of interest. </p> <p>The journal publishes original papers, reviews, and short reports on all aspects of the science, philosophy, and practice of midwifery care, especially in pregnancy, maternity, childbirth, neonates, infants, under-fives, and pre-school children, family planning, reproduction health, adolescent health, elderly health, maternal health, and child health.</p> <p>It is aimed at all midwifery practitioners, lecturers, researchers, and those who manage and deliver mother and child health services and systems. The purposive sampling technique obtained a total sample of 32 respondents from pregnant women in the second and third trimesters.</em></p> <p><strong><em>Results</em></strong><em>: After doing Pilates exercise, there were 27 respondents with mild pain (84.4%) and 5 respondents in the no pain category (15.6%). The results of the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test show a p-value of 0.000, so p&lt;0.05 so that Ha is accepted, which means there is an effect of Pilates exercise on the Low Back Pain of pregnant women in the second and third trimesters at Edelweiss Day Spa Klaten.</em></p> <p><strong><em>Conclusion</em></strong><em>: There is an effect of Pilates exercise on the low back pain of pregnant women in the second and third trimesters at Edelweiss Day Spa Klaten</em></p> Lusinta Agustina Paryono Paryono Copyright (c) 2024 Lusinta Agustina, Paryono https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 2024-08-01 2024-08-01 3 2 41 47 10.56359/genmj.v3i2.327 Correlation Between Female Junior High School Students Knowledge And BSE Behaviour https://genius.inspira.or.id/index.php/genmj/article/view/290 <p><strong>Introduction:</strong> Breast cancer often presents as a painless lump and can develop, invade surrounding breast tissue, and spread to nearby lymph nodes or other organs in the body. The high mortality rate of breast cancer is due to a lack of knowledge about the disease and the importance of early detection, leading to many patients seeking medical help at a late stage. According to Globocan data from 2020, teenage cancer patients in Indonesia rank 3rd in Asia. The government recommends Breast Self-Examination (BSE) as the most effective screening method. BSE is very easy to perform, yet many teenagers are unaware of this method.</p> <p><strong>Objective: </strong>The review is to summarize the correlation between students knowledge and BSE Behaviour.</p> <p><strong>Method:</strong> The study used a descriptive quantitative design with a cross-sectional approach and a simple random sampling technique. The sample size was 141 students, and the chi-square statistical test was used for analysis.</p> <p><strong>Result: </strong>The majority, 91.5%, of Ananda Junior High School students had never performed BSE and had poor knowledge about the pathophysiology of breast cancer (93.6%) and breast cancer prevention (83.7%). A p-value of 0.000 (p &lt; 0.05) was obtained, indicating a significant correlation between knowledge about the pathophysiology and prevention of breast cancer and BSE behavior.</p> <p><strong>Conclussion:</strong> The proportion of Ananda Bekasi Junior High School students who engage in BSE behavior is very low (8.5%). Based on a preliminary study, 80% of pregnant women do not understand nutrition in early pregnancy. health education aims to make pregnant women healthier than before. The pocketbook has more flexible characteristics, is easy to carry anywhere, and can be read anytime.</p> <p><strong>Objective:</strong> This study aims to determine the effect of health education with pocketbooks on knowledge of balanced nutrition in pregnant women in the first trimester.</p> <p><strong>Method</strong>: This is a quantitative research type, pre-experiment one group pre-post test design without control. The population in this study were all pregnant women in the first trimester at the Independent Practice of Midwife Noris Hadi in February – March including 25 pregnant women. The sampling technique used was total sampling. The intervention was health education with the lecture method and discussion with pocketbook media. Data were analyzed univariately and bivariately. The instrument used a questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability.</p> <p><strong>Result</strong>: Almost all respondents are aged 20-35 years, pregnant women with a college education are very low, and most are working women. there were no pregnant women in the first trimester who experienced a decrease in scores after being given health education. The average increase in the score of 24 pregnant women was 12.5 points.
